Haize-Arrosa emerged in 2022 in Berriz (Bizkaia) from experience and creative necessity. The name of the group reflects its nature: a multidirectional artistic journey, a musical path where each song seeks its north. From a sonic perspective, it draws from the roots of folk: folk-rock, world-fusion, country, Balkan, or Celtic folk, always under the guidance of the trikitixa. The complementarity between styles reflects freedom and experience, giving each song its own personality. The album Magala showcases the more acoustic and refined side of Haize-Arrosa, with women as the central focus, tradition, and transmission. The generational and community bond, based on personal experiences and emotions, offers the listener enjoyment and reflection. The acoustic guitar, violin, and trikitixa are the main pillars, with no electric instruments, in an organic and stripped-down folk-fusion. The lyrics address the voices and stories of women focused on memory, identity, commitment, and freedom. Collaborations and cultural references build bridges between different peoples and traditions, reinforcing the open and communal character of Haize-Arrosa.
